Dr. Mozahem is a triple board certified neurologist with American Board Certifications in adult neurology, sleep medicine, and clinical neurophysiology. He graduated from Damascus University medical school, finished his residency training in neurology at University of Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He also completed fellowships in clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy, and sleep medicine at University of Cincinnati, and Wayne State University in the USA.
Dr. Mozahem has over ten years’ experience in the field of Neurology; he has worked in private practice in Florida, USA before moving to Saudi Arabia where he worked in Al-Hada Armed Forces hospital. He served as a senior consultant at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in Abu Dhabi from 2006 till 2009. He assumed the position of Director of Neurology Department at the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology as of August 2009.
Dr. Mozahem has extensive experience in clinical neurophysiologic studies, including electroencephalography, nerve conduction studies, electromyography, and polysomnography.
Dr. Mozahem takes care of patients with neurological conditions such as Headache, Epilepsy, Stroke, Hand Numbness, Neck and Back Pain, Sleep Disorders (like Excessive Daytime Sleepiness, Snoring, and Insomnia), Multiple Sclerosis, and Muscle Weakness
