Dr. Yousef completed his medical school at Aleppo University in 1988, and then moved to the USA and completed his training in psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. He obtained a master of Business Administration from Anna Maria College, class of 2000. He was assistant professor in psychiatry at University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Dr Yousef has American Board Certification in Psychiatry since 1996. He was senior consultant psychiatrist at Sheikh Khalifa Hospital in Abu Dhabi, and presently consultant psychiatrist at ACPN.
Dr. Yousef served as a medical director in the United State and Internationally. He was the medical director of Boston Health Care Inc in Boston, Massachusetts (USA), deputy medical director of the psychiatry hospital in Abu Dhabi, and presently the medical director of the American Centre for Psychiatry and Neurology in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Yousef has extensive experience in lecturing and teaching and has conducted over 300 lectures and workshops in the USA, UAE and Syria. He was awarded the psychiatry resident of the year in 1996 and the American Academy of Continuing Medical Education Award in 2007.
Dr Yousef has a special interest in treating major depression, panic disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, anxiety disorder, adjustment disorders, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorders, dementia and psychiatric disorders during pregnancy and postpartum.
