Mrs. Carina Ghossoub is a Clinical Dietitian and Nutritionist at ACPN. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) in Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics with Dean’s List honors in the year 2013 from Notre Dame University (NDU) in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon. She attended various training programs for Diabetes, Bariatric Surgery, Eating Disorders, Nutrition Psychology, and Pediatric Nutrition accredited by the Credentialing Agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, USA. In 2018, Mrs. Ghossoub attended various trainings on the treatment of eating disorders, and nutritional psychology in Lebanon and the UAE.
Mrs. Ghossoub gained her background in Clinical Dietetics at Arz Hospital in Zalka, Lebanon. For a period of three years, she was posted as Head Dietitian and Nutritionist there. She worked in an inpatient setting providing nutritional management for liver, pancreatic, kidney diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, post-op bariatric surgeries and enteral feeding.
Upon moving to the UAE in 2017, she worked as a Nutrition Consultant for two companies in the F&B sector, Yum in a Box in Dubai, and Muscle fuel in Abu Dhabi. Her last post was at GMC clinics in Dubai as a Clinical Dietitian where she counseled individuals with eating disorders (picky eaters, ARFID, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa), weight loss for bariatric surgeries, weight management during pregnancy, and childhood obesity.
Mrs. Ghossoub is well experienced working with a multidisciplinary team of medical doctors and psychologists, to treat obesity in children and adults as well as eating disorders. She counsels and educates patients providing individualized nutritional treatment tailored to achieve physical and psychological recovery, establish healthy long-term dietary habits, and an active adoption of a healthy lifestyle. She has taken on dietary habit advocacy and awareness as an active part of her role by giving talk shows and presentations among mothers in nurseries, schools, and corporations.
