Dr. Kenneth Mitchell is a Consultant Psychiatrist who moved to Dubai from the United Kingdom in 2017. Dr. Mitchell has a wealth of expertise as he completed his exams for Membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the United Kingdom and was awarded MRCPsych. Three years later his Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training was awarded by the Specialist Training Authority of the Medical Royal Colleges in the United Kingdom. Dr. Mitchell obtained his Medical Degree MBChB from the University of Glasgow in Scotland, UK.
Also, Dr. Mitchell was awarded a certificate for the successful completion of the 1-year part-time South of Scotland Cognitive Therapy Course, run jointly by the Lothian and Greater Glasgow Primary Care NHS Trusts.
Dr. Mitchell worked as a psychiatrist in the UK National Health Service (NHS) for many years in locations in Scotland, North East England and London. He worked for nearly 5 years as a Consultant Psychiatrist for the North East London NHS Foundation Trust in Goodmayes Hospital and Barking Hospital.
Throughout his health service career, Dr. Mitchell has been involved in clinical teaching, clinical tutorials and clinical workshops, and was a regular examiner in medical school clinical examinations. Dr. Mitchell also participated in clinical research and has numerous publications to his credit.
Dr. Mitchell deals with all forms of mental health and wellbeing issues, including lifestyle-related problems at work or home (work stress, burnout, relationship problems, domestic abuse, tension, stress, worry), anxiety, panic attacks, phobias, sleep disorders, somatization disorder, mental disorders (bipolar disorders, mood disorders, eating disorders, depressive disorder, cyclothymia, paranoia, schizophrenia, eating disorders, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder), PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), ADHD / ADD, personality problems and personality disorders).
