Dr. Rashid Saleem, Specialist in Pediatrics, joins ACPN from the University Hospitals of Leicester, U.K., where he worked in the Department of Pediatric Neurology. He acquired his M.Sc. in Epilepsy Practice, Leeds Beckett University, U.K. in 2015, MRCPCH from the Royal College of Pediatrics & Child Health, U.K. in 2004, Diploma in Child Health, from the University of Punjab, Pakistan in 1996, and MBBS from the King Edward Medical University, Pakistan in 1986.
Dr. Rashid last appointment was at the Department of Pediatric Neurology, at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust for nearly 9 years before moving to ACPN. In addition, he has extensive experience in General and Emergency Pediatrics spanning over 20 years with 13 years in the UAE. His professional memberships include those of the Royal College of Pediatrics & Child Health, the British Pediatric Neurology Association, and the International League against Epilepsy. He has amply published in peer-reviewed journals and presented posters and podium presentation at BPNA annual conferences. He has regularly engaged in clinical research, clinical audit, and medical teaching.
Dr. Rashid has extensive experience in diagnosing and managing pediatric neurological disorders such as epilepsies, headaches, sleep problems, movement disorders, neuro-developmental delay including cerebral palsy, neuro-developmental regression, neuro-genetic conditions, and neuro-muscular problems. With extensive experience in working in sub-specialized areas across multi-disciplinary teams, Dr. Rashid is driven to provide safe and quality patient care for optimal patient outcomes.
