Ms. Rassil Ghazzaoui is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist at ACPN. Ms. Ghazzaoui obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the American University of Beirut (AUB) in 2009 and went on to obtain her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Columbia University, New York. Ms. Ghazzaoui is also a board member of the Lebanese Psychological Association (LPA) and a member of the American Psychological Association (APA).
Ms. Ghazzaoui comes to ACPN from the American University of Beirut Medical Center (AUBMC), Beirut, Lebanon where she worked as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the Department of Psychiatry and in the Bariatric Unit in the Surgery department. She was also the program coordinator as well as psychologist of the Psychosis Recovery Outreach Program (PROP) and Treatment Outreach Program for Eating Disorders (TOP-ED). Prior to moving to Lebanon, Ms. Ghazzaoui worked at the New-York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI)/Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC).
Ms. Ghazzaoui works with all types of cases mainly adolescents and adults; her specialties are psychosis and eating disorders. She also works with bariatric patients for pre- and post-surgery psychological assessments and therapy. Ms. Ghazzaoui is skilled at administering various psychological assessments. She has written various research papers in mental health journals and has been actively involved in raising awareness about Psychosis in the Middle East with the aim of improving mental health awareness in the community-at-large.
