Mrs. Adeela Khalid comes to ACPN from Dots and Links Skills Development Center where she worked as Cognitive Trainer. She completed her MS degree in Clinical Psychology at The University of Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan in 2012 with highest honors. She remains a licensed practitioner psychologist with the Allied Council of Health Sciences of Pakistan. She obtained her Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Punjab, Pakistan, in 2010.
Mrs. Khalid has worked in Pakistan, primarily at the University of Punjab in both clinical academia and practicum settings for more than 5 years. Prior to her move to Abu Dhabi in 2017, Mrs. Khalid worked for two years as a Clinical Psychologist at Askari Medical Center in Lahore, Pakistan. In addition to this, she has worked in clinical academia at the Center for Clinical Psychology at the University of Punjab, as Lecturer for a period of 3 years. Upon moving to Abu Dhabi in 2017, she worked as a Cognitive Trainer at Dots and Links Skills Development Center for children for a period of 6 months. As a cognitive trainer, her role encompassed building cognitive skills as brain trainer based on Gibson Learning Model.
Mrs. Khalid has experience working with children and adults with conditions such as anxiety disorders, panic disorder, social phobia, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression and other behavioral presentations of childhood (e.g. ADHD, Conduct Disorder etc.). She is skilled at conducting psychological assessments, planning and implementing treatment plans, clinical research, as well as academia.
