Christelle Maksoud

Ms. Christelle Maksoud is Speech Therapist at ACPN. She completed Bachelor’s degree in Speech Therapy at the Lebanese University of Beirut, Lebanon in 2012. She also trained in Music Therapy fromAMBx, Bordeaux, France at St. Charbel School Harissa, Lebanon in 2019. Ms. Maksoud also completed trainings related to treatment of voice disorders, Applied Behavioral Analysis, TED therapy for Autism, PORTAGE early intervention program, and the Orton-Gillingham Approach to Literacy. She is licensed speech therapist in Lebanon and the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi.

Ms. Maksoud has over ten years of experience in Speech Therapy in Lebanon. Moving to the UAE in 2021, she worked at SKILD Center, and Al Hadi Institute for the Deaf, Blind, and Learning Disabilities in Lebanon as a speech and language pathologist. She has experience working with children in school districts, private clinics, and pediatric hospital. Ms. Maksoud gained experience in virtual therapy and has experience working remotely and collaboratively with parents and caregivers in result driven online therapy sessions, providing parental guidance through educational videos, and presented in webinars related to learning disabilities.

Ms. Maksoud is skilled at diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to communication problems, language disorders, intellectual disability, articulation and phonological processing disorders and primary swallowing patterns helping her clients achieve functional communication. She is passionate about music has successfully integrated music therapy into her sessions with school-aged children and adolescents with intellectual disability.
