Saarah Achmat

Ms. Saarah Achmat is an Occupational Therapist at ACPN in Abu Dhabi. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2019. Ms. Achmat is licensed to practice in South Africa (HPCSA) and the UAE (DoH, Abu Dhabi).

With five years of diverse experience in the field, Ms. Achmat’s clinical experience includes working in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and outpatient facilities. She began her career in 2020 by completing her community service at Helen Joseph Hospital in Johannesburg gaining extensive experience in acute inpatient Occupational Therapy, rotating through psychiatric, orthopedic, medical, and surgical wards. In 2021, she joined a sub-acute physical rehabilitation facility treating a wide range of cases including neurological, medical, and orthopedic conditions working on areas including physical rehabilitation, working with patients with strokes, traumatic brain injuries, Guillain-Barré syndrome, dementia, and cognitive deficits.

Ms. Achmat is skilled in both acute and sub-acute rehabilitation, with expertise in neurology, surgery, orthopedics, oncology, and cardiac care. She is committed to empowering patients achieve greater independence and an improved quality of life through personalized, effective therapeutic interventions.
